25. Katy Perry & Russell Brand: 14 Months

In October of 2010, the pair returned to the same country, where Brand popped the question. They wed in the countryside of northern India near the Ranthambore tiger sanctuary. They were married for a total of 14 months, a time frame short enough for comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres to forget Perry had ever been married when the singer came on her show back in 2017.

24. Mike Tyson & Robin Givens: 1 Year

Heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson is considered by many to be one of the best athletes in his field, having been inducted into both the World Boxing Hall of Fame and International Boxing Hall of Fame. Tyson was at the height of his career when he met actress Robin Givens.

Givens first broke out into the Hollywood scene after landing a recurring role in the ABC sitcom Head of the Class in 1986. Though Holly didn’t land the part for Ace Ventura, the two got closer while co-starring in the 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber. Their marriage crumbled after nine months and Holly filed for divorce.

Cyrus was 19 when Hemsworth, 22, put a ring on it in June of 2012. But according to People Magazine, Chesney’s publicists caught wind of her plan and the singer approached her and said, “I hear you’re trying to pass me a note — don’t let the principal find out.” Four months later, they wed in a surprising Virgin Islands ceremony. They were married for seven months before calling it quits.

17. Drew Barrymore & Tom Green: 5 Months

16. Chad Michael Murray & Sophia Bush: 5 Months

The two were dating for one year before Murray popped the question in 2004 while they were vacationing in Australia. Once upon a time, Hangover star Bradley Cooper and NCIS star Jennifer Esposito were happily married. A friend of the couple, Ginny Donahue, told People Magazine that Hilton and Meister shared the same philosophy in life: to live in the moment. The couple annulled their marriage 85 days later.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian and NBA player Kris Humphries first sparked dating rumors in 2010 when the reality television icon was spotted sitting courtside at Humphries’ basketball game. Saturday Night Live alum Chris Kattan first met model Sunshine Tutt at a birthday party in 2005. The two started dating shortly afterwards, and on Christmas Eve one year later, Kattan asked Tutt to marry him. The pair were in Gainseville, Texas at Tutt’s grandmother’s house when Kattan hid a sparkly engagement ring in a present.

The couple married in Yosemite Valley, California in June 2008, and Kattan expressed his love for Tutt in a blog. He said, “She makes me very happy. It feels real and honest and I have more of a continuous smile than I have ever had before.” Unfortunately, however, they split after eight weeks.

6. Chad Johnson & Evelyn Lozada: 41 days

NFL star Chad Johnson and Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada first got engaged in 2010 after less than a year of dating. Recalling her engagement, Lozada said that a jeweler came to her house with a few rings for her to choose from.

She made her choice, all while Johnson was playing Call of Duty with a headset on. The couple ended up marrying in a 2012 Fourth of July ceremony on the Caribbean island of St. Martin. They were married for just a little over a month before Lozada filed for divorce. The VH1 reality TV series they were filming at the time, Ev & Ocho, never got to air because of their swift split.

5. Mario Lopez & Ali Landry: 18 Days

The Extra host Mario Lopez first met model and actress Ali Landry in 1998 at a Miss Teen USA pageant. According to the TV host, he saw Landry’s “Catholic, very driven, ambitious, hardworking — but also charming and innocent” nature to mean she was the perfect girl for him.

The two dated for six years before saying “I do” in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Surrounded by their family and close friends, Landry walked down the aisle at sunset, wearing a glamorous Vera Wang wedding gown. However, the fairytale was not to last, as it only took a total of 18 days before the couple got their marriage annulled.

4. Eddie Murphy & Tracey Edmonds: 2 Weeks

Actor and comedian Eddie Murphy seemed to have shared a strong bond with producer Tracey Edmonds back in the day. When Murphy accepted a Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance in Dreamgirls in 2007, he praised Edmonds for “fixing everything that was broken.”

A year later, the couple jetted off to Bora Bora where they had an intimate New Year’s Day wedding. They exchanged vows at sunset and expected to live happily ever after together. But unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned, and they went their separate ways just a short two weeks later. They were reportedly relieved to know their marriage wasn’t legally binding when they returned to the United States.

3. Pamela Anderson & Jon Peters: 12 Days

Pamela Anderson and Jon Peters went from newlyweds to exes in a matter of 12 days. It was the Baywatch actress’ fifth marriage when she tied the knot on January 20, 2020 with the producer of Batman and A Star is Born, whom she had dated briefly some 30 years earlier. It was also his own fifth time getting hitched.

According to the Daily Mail, the two met for the first time in 1989 at the Playboy Mansion. All Peters saw when he looked at Anderson were “teeth and a halo,” and he told her, “In 30 years, our age difference won’t mean so much.” It seems he was right and 30 years later, the pair finally said “I do.” But their union was short-lived and they called it quits shortly thereafter.

2. Carmen Electra & Dennis Rodman: 9 Days

The colorful former Lakers player and Chicago Bulls forward Dennis Rodman wed model and Baywatch icon Carmen Electra in Las Vegas in 1998. The couple had been dating for nearly nine months when they decided to tie the knot on one chilly November morning at seven a.m. at the Little Chapel of Flowers.

Married life wasn’t as satisfying as they had hoped, and Electra filed for annulment nine days after. The model later told Oprah that getting hitched in Vegas is too easy and convenient. But Rodman had something else to say about their brief marriage. He told Page Six in 2018 that if the opportunity even presented itself, he would ask Electra to marry him again.

1. Britney Spears & Jason Allen Alexander: 55 Hours

And now for Hollywood’s shortest celebrity marriage thus far. On January 3, 2004, “Oops…I Did It Again” singer Britney Spears walked down a Las Vegas wedding chapel aisle to say “I do” to her childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander. She was dressed in a white baseball cap and jeans.

The two were married for a record-breaking 55 hours before they had their marriage annulled. Alexander spoke to ABC News following the impulsive nuptials and said that on New Year’s in 2004, Spears invited him to fly to Vegas in her private jet. The two went there as friends, became spouses, and came back as exes.

That same year, she met and fell in love with Tyson and the two married in February of 1988. That October, the Riverdale actress filed for divorce from her professional fighter husband. The two were married for a total of one year.
